Knights fourth in Cordova

CORDOVA — The Colony Knights finished fourth in the Cordova Fast Ferry Invitational at Cordova High School last weekend.

Colony sandwhiched a 2-0 (25-14, 25-12) win over Glenallen with losses to Grace Christian and Mt. Edgecumbe on the second day of the two-day event.

Senior Kara Larson led the Knights with 17 kills and April Bleicher collected a match-high 17 digs in the win.

Colony started the day with a 3-1 (25-19, 17-25, 13-15) loss to Grace. Larson posted 10 kills, while Bleicher recorded 23 digs and 10 aces.

The Knights capped play with a 2-0 (23-25, 23-25) loss to Mt. Edgecumbe.

Jackie Hamann led the Knights with 10 digs and three aces, while Kara Johnson chipped in six kills.

Siobhan Johansen and Sierra Hodgson were named to the all-tournament team.

The Knights competed in the tournament without senior Allie Grazulis, who was out of the state on a college visit.

Colony 3, Wasilla 0

WASILLA — The Colony Knights recorded a 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-22) win over the Wasilla Warriors at Wasilla High School on Tuesday.

Grazulis led Colony with 15 kills and six digs, while Hamann added 33 digs and eight aces.

Palmer 3, Houston 0

HOUSTON — The Palmer Moose scored a 3-0 (25-13, 25-7, 25-14) nonconference win over the Houston Hawks at Houston High School on Tuesday.
