PALMER — The Colony Knights opened the 2015 prep volleyball season with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-22) nonconference win over Eagle River Tuesday.
Lily Birch, Mikara Klawitter and Maddy Ko finished with eight kills each. Ko added eight digs and two blocks. Hope Baker chipped in six kills and two blocks. Shiann Bontrager added 23 assists and an ace.
Palmer also opened its season with a victory Tuesday, scoring a 3-0 sweep of Houston.
Colony played Palmer and Wasilla hosted West Valley Thursday. Results were not available prior to press time.
