Knights move into NLC title match, qualify for state volleyball tournament

KENAI - The Colony Knights continued their domination of the Northern Lights Conference with a decisive sweep of the Skyview Panthers during the semifinal round of the NLC Championships at Kenai Central High School on Friday.

The Knights used the 3-0 (25-14, 25-23, 25-8) win over the Panthers to move into the conference title match and earn a berth to the state tournament. The Knights, the runner-up in both the NLC and state tournaments last season, will play Kodiak in the final match Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

Kodiak edged Palmer 3-2 (23-25, 25-18, 23-25, 25-16, 15-10) in the other semifinal.
