Knights notch pair of puck wins

WASILLA -- The Colony Knight skaters scored a pair of key victories over the weekend. The Knights notched a pivotal conference win over the cross-town rival Palmer Moose on Friday and squeezed past Bartlett in nonconference action on Saturday.

The Knights defeated Palmer 4-2 in an extremely physical matchup. The teams combined for 27 penalties in the contest.

Colony was whistled for 11 infractions, while Palmer was sent to the sin bin 16 times.

Dean Schultz led the Knights with two goals against the Moose. Costa Lambernakis and Chris Crosta also lit the lamp for the Knights.

The following night, Ryan Pauling's performance was far from appaling as the Colony freshman scored four goals.

Pauling had a hat trick going into the extra period and scored the game winner for the Knights.

Pauling also had an assist.

Schultz and Brad Peltz also scored for Colony.

Crosta and Matt Luthi registered assists on the Pauling goals.
