Knights of Columbus Award

Palmer Alaska Knights of Columbus Council, St. Michael’s Council No. 11816, received the Youth Activity Award at the Alaska State Convention Fairbanks last spring for its scholarship fund, which benefits graduating seniors from Saint Michael Parish in Palmer. The group went on to compete at the 128th Supreme convention in Washington, D.C., in August, where it was awarded fourth place. State Deputy Michael Welch presented the award to the council’s Past Grand Knight, Joe Stehlik, at its Dec. 14 meeting.
