PALMER — The Colony Knights scored a 36-27 win over the Wasilla Warriors during a dual at Colony High Thursday afternoon.
The Knights recorded four pins and four wins by decision during the dual. Matthew Vandermartin posted a pin at 106 pounds. Christopher Ray (138), Zach Doan (170) and Ty Farber (220) recorded pins for the Knights.
The 220-pound match featured a pair of ranked wrestlers. Farber, currently ranked third in the state, pinned sixth-ranked Adam Akelkok of Wasilla during the first period.
In the heavyweight class, third-ranked Ryan Pomrenke of Wasilla pinned fifth-ranked Justin Booth of Colony in the third period.
Both teams are at Dimond High this weekend, with duals on Friday and a tournament on Saturday.
