Knights rebound with win over hockey rival

After a pair of losses and a tie on the road, the Colony Knights returned to the Valley and bounced back in a big way.

Colony scored a 5-2 win over the Wasilla Warriors Jan. 12 at the Brett Memorial Ice Arena in Wasilla.

Colony had dropped a pair of games to Kenai and tied Soldotna during a three-day stay on the peninsula.

Joseph Kirk, Adam Kara and Carson Lantto led Colony with a goal and two assists each against the Warriors. Robbie Yundt also scored.

Owen Hoyt and Branson Starheim scored for Wasilla.

Colony outshot Wasilla 25-24. Malachi Mukaabya made 22 saves in the win for Colony. Kole Kite made 20 saves for Wasilla.
