For the second time in less than a week, the Colony Knights scored a girls basketball victory over rival Wasilla.
Indiya Clarke scored a game-high 26 points during a 50-39 victory over the Warriors Friday at Colony High School. Clarke finished with six field goals, including a three-pointer, and was 13 of 14 from the free throw line. Clarke was a perfect 6 of 6 from the line during an early 13-6 first-quarter run. The standout also scored 11 of her team’s 19 second-quarter points.
Hannah Duguid added a dozen for Colony in the in. Maggie Spencer chipped in nine.
Bella Hays led Wasilla with 14 points.
In boys action, Colony scored a 59-44 win over Wasilla. Patrick McMahon led the Knights with 19 points. Jeremiah Hersrud and Jace Underwood scored 15 points each. Both guards drained a trio of three-pointers. Colony opened the game on a 12-4 run.
Andrew Devine led Wasilla with a dozen. Parker Kroon added 10 for Wasilla.
