The Colony Knights swept the Wasilla Warriors during a pair of varsity matches May 14 at Colony High School.
Isaac Smith scored a pair of goals to lead Colony to a 5-0 boys win over the Knights. Eli Krozel and Hunter Wakaliuk also scored, and Colton Mitchell converted a penalty kick. Mark Matthews earned the shutout in the Colony net.
Samantha Johnstone scored twice to lead Colony to a 3-0 girls win over the Knights. One of her goals came on a penalty kick. Sylvanna Saucedo also scored. Savannah Anderson earned the shutout in the Wasilla net.
Colony also beat Grace Christian twice on Monday.
The Colony girls beat Grace 8-2. Johnstone, Saucedo and Emily Moses scored two goals each. Amy Reynolds and Lydia Bushey also scored.
Krozel scored twice to lead the Colony boys to a 6-0 win. Smith, Sava Catlett, Zac Cheyette and Gavin McMullen also scored.
Wasilla tied Soldotna twice May 15 at Wasilla High School. Kelsey Walker scored the lone goal for Wasilla in a 1-1 tie. The Wasilla boys also tied the Stars 1-1.
Palmer tied SoHi twice on May 14. Duncan Hetrick scored for the Palmer boys in a 1-1 tie. Catherine Uschmann converted a penalty kick for the Moose in a 1-1 tie in the girls match. Payton Knittle made 13 saves for the Moose.
