The Colony boys soccer squad earned a pair of wins over the weekend.
Colony beat Eagle River 4-0 on Friday and Dimond 2-1 on saturday.
Quinn Dowd led the Knights with a goal and two assists against the Wolves. Johnny Figgins added a goal and an assist. Matthew Crawford and Isaac Villa also scored. Mason Irsik earned the shutout.
Dowd and Owen Dietz scored against the Lynx.
The Colony girls edged Eagle River 1-0. Asha Gerteisen scored, with an assist from Emily Moses. Savannah Anderson earned the shutout.
Dimond beat the Colony girls 9-0.
The Wasilla girls blanked Kodiak 12-0 on Saturday. Ki Schachle and Alia Shane scored two goals each. Ella Hale, Holly Marsh, Cosima Frohmuller, Hailee Giacobbe, Morgan Mahoney, Jo Sande, Allie Dollick and Makenna Hanson also scored. Lainey Kroon led the Warriors with three assists.
The Palmer boys finished 1-1-1 during a three-day trip through the Kenai Peninsula. The Moose beat Homer 4-0. Fischer Adams, Elijah Von Gunten, Bryce Bowen and Bodie Miller scored for Palmer.
Bowen and Aidan Houser scored during a 2-2 tie with Kenai. Soldotna beat the Moose 3-1. Adams converted a penalty kick for Palmer.
Palmer went 0-3-0, with losses of 4-0 to Kenai, 5-0 to Soldotna and 3-0 to Homer.
Houston scored a pair of wins over Nikiski. The girls won 2-1 and the boys had a 7-1 victory.
Nikiski swept Redington. The girls won 8-1 and the boys won 3-0. Homer swept Redington. The girls won 6-0 and the boys won 9-0. Kenai swept Houston, with the girls winning 12-0 and the boys 6-0. Soldotna swept Houston, with both teams winning 7-0.
