ANCHORAGE — The Colony Knights scored a 3-0 (26-24, 25-20, 25-18) sweep of the East Anchorage Thunderbirds at East Anchorage High Tuesday.
Junior Allison Leigh led the Knights with 14 kills. Junior Mary Klapperich added 13.
The Knights return home to face Northern Lights Conference rivals Kenai (Friday) and Soldotna (Saturday) over the weekend. The Palmer Moose also host Soldotna (Friday) and Kenai (Saturday). Each Friday match starts at 6:30 p.m. and the Saturday matches are slated for 12:30 p.m.
Warriors beat Grace Christian
WASILLA — The Wasilla Warriors earned a 3-1 nonconference win over the Grace Christian Grizzlies Wednesday at Wasilla High.
Hawks named all-tourney
CORDOVA — Houston senior Samantha Dodds and junior Maggie Theis were named to the all-tournament team following the Cordova Invitational in Cordova last Saturday. Theis finished the tourney with 46 kills, 48 digs and 26 blocks. Dodds collected 69 digs. Head coach Michael Taylor also noted the play of seniors Taylor Holen and Hannah Spencer. The Hawks finished fifth.
