The Colony Knights continued their strong swimming and diving season, sweeping the team titles during the Palmer Invitational Saturday at Palmer High School.
Colony finished with 120 points in the girls standings, more than twice the total of runner-up Kodiak. The Knights won the boys class with 74 points.
Merica Miller earned a pair of wins for the Colony girls, finishing first in the 50-yard and 500-yard freestyle races. Jasmine Anderson (200 individual medley) and Kylie Benner (200 freestyle) also won races. Benner was second in the 100 butterfly, and Hannah Cooper was second in the 200 and 500 freestyle events.
Kristofer Vangorder led the Colony boys with a win in the 50 freestyle and second-place finish in the 100 freestyle. Kellen DenBleyker won the 500 freestyle for the Knights. Isaiah Hulien placed second in the 100 butterfly and 500 freestyle.
Palmer placed third in both the girls and boys classes.
Aly Hrncir (diving), Addie Charton (100 freestyle) and Nina Adams (100 breaststroke) won events for the Palmer girls. Craig Elledge led the Palmer boys with a win in diving.
Audrey Dietz and Calvin Musgrave finished as the runner-up in the girls and boys diving events to lead Wasilla.
