Another meet, and another sweep for the Colony Knights.
Colony earned both the girls and boys team titles during the two-day Palmer Invitational swimming and diving meet at the Palmer Pool.
The Colony girls finished 83 total points in the team standings. The CHS boys had 81.
Hannah Cooper of Colony was able to win two individual girls events with best times for the season. She won the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:01.20. She also won the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:21.88. Cooper’s teammate, Jasmine Anderson also won two individual events with best times for the season. She won the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:11.59, and she won the 100 breaststroke later in the day with a time of 1:04.39. She currently has the top times in the state for this season.
The colony girls diving team continued their success with four divers placed in the top 5. Charlize McManus finished first, Claire Wallstrum took second, Samantha Grisham was fourth and Lyza Krozel was able to earn fifth.
Colony’s Olivia Noffke placed second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:13.69. She also earned sixth place in the 500 freestyle with a time of 6:29.85. Chloe Blackburn of Colony was able to earn fourth in the 50 freestyle with a time of 27.83. Aubrey Bunch of Colony was fourth in the 200 IM with a time of 2:41.56. She was also fifth in the 500 freestyle with a time of 6:08.38. Kendyl Ligman of Colony placed fourth in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:11.47, and she earned seventh in the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:00.40.
Makenzie Edgar of Colony was able to earn 6th in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:20.48, and she earned 8th in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:13.93.
In the relay events, the Colony girls 400 freestyle relay team earned second with Kendyl Ligman( 1:01.13), Makenzie Edgar (1:03.38), Hannah Cooper( 56.45), and Jasmine Anderson (55.65) with a total time of 3:56.52. Knights girls 200 Medley Relay Team of Hannah Cooper (29.41), Jasmine Anderson (29.22), Aubrey Bunch( 31.51), and Chloe Blackburn( 26.85) was second place with a total time of 1:56.99.
Isaiah Hulien led the Colony boys with wins in both of his individual events of the day. He won the 100 butterfly with a time of 56.46. Hulien won the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:16.96.
Pierce McDonough of Colony placed second in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:55.56, and he was sixth in the 100 freestyle later in the day with a time of 52.78. Reven Settle was able to earn second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:17.17, and was sixth in the breaststroke with a time of 1:16.25 later in the day with a time of 1:16.26. Finn Nordstrom finished fifth in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:08.54. Mason Wallstrum finished fourth in the 200 IM with a time of 2:30.44. Grady Dhondt placed fourth in the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.47, and he earned fifth with a time of 52.50 in the 100 freestyle.
Landeyn Halstead was fourth in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:01.78, and fourth in the butterfly with a time of 59.69. Thomas Smithfinished fifth in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:04.06, and he was able to earn sixth in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:01.77. Hudson Duguid placed fourth in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:14.20, and he was able to earn sixth in the 50 freestyle with a time of 25.05.
In the relay events, the Knights were the runner-up in the boys' 200 freestyle relay. The team consisted of Thomas Smith (24.34), Grady Dhondt (23.58), Reven Settle (24.31) and Isaiah Hulien (22.96). They had a total time of 1:35.19.The Colony boys 200 Medley Relay Team of Landeyn Halstead (27.85), Hudson Duguid( 31.82), Thomas Smith (25.41), and Pierce McDonough (23.45) was fourth with a total time of 1:48.53. The Colony boys A 400 freestyle relay team earned second with Pierce McDonough (52.20), Grady Dhondt (53.35), Reven Settle (53.62), and Isaiah Hulien (50.48) with a total time of 3:29.63. The Knights boys B 400 freestyle relay team earned fifth with Landeyn Halstead (57.05), Parker Lysdahl (1:00.52), Gunnar Allen (1:01.70), and Hudson Duguid (56.63) with a total time of 3:55.90.
The Palmer girls and boys each finished fourth in the team standings. The Moose girls had 56 and the boys finished with 49.
Addie Charton led the Palmer girls with a win in the 50 freestyle with a time of 26.03, and she was second in the 100 freestyle with a time of 57.94. Nina Adams placed second in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:13.11, and she was fifth in the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:00.67. Jade Bamford of Palmer was third in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:09.46. She was also fourth in the 500 freestyle with a time of 6:04.71. Emily Stocker of Palmer was sixth in the 100 backstroke, and seventh in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:18.08.
The Palmer Moose was able to win the girls' 200 freestyle relay. The team consisted of Nina Adams (27.30), Aubrey Stocker (27.05), Abby Strobel (27.95) and Addie Charton (25.96). They had a total time of 1:48.23. The Palmer Moose girls 200 Medley Relay Team of Emily Stocker (33.22), Nina Adams (33.04), Addie Charton (29.49), and Abby Strobel (27.53) was third with a total time of 2:03.28. The 400 freestyle relay team earned fourth with Jade Bamford(1:03.34), Addison McBee (1:05.65), Briston Neumann(1:09.34), Aubrey Stocker(1:05.55) with a total time of 4:33.88.
Aidan Houser led the Palmer boys, winning two individual events. He won the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.79, and he also won the 100 freestyle with a time of 49.66.
London Lee had a pair of top three finishes. He was third in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:57.35, and second in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:31.04. Jackson Neumann was sixth in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:11.44. Jackson Charton of Palmer earned third in the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.25, and third in the 100 freestyle with a time of 51.39.
Palmer was third in the boys 200 freestyle relay. The team consisted of Jackson Charton (23.97), London Lee (23.49), Jackson Neumann (26.78) and Aidan Houser (23.16). They had a total time of 1:37.40. The Palmer Moose boys 200 Medley Relay Team of London Lee (27.60), Peyton Neumann (33.65), Jackson Charton (24.52) and Aidan Houser( 21.96) was third with a total time of 1:47.73.
The Wasilla boys diving team finished with a pair of divers in the top four. Travis Thornton won the event, and Colter Gose was fourth.
The Wasilla Warriors was able to earn sixth in the boys 200 freestyle relay, The team consisted of Andreas Bayle (28.96), Daniel Hsu (26.72), Lincoln Varys (26.16) and Michael Branham (25.42). They had a total time of 1:47.26.
Emily Boman of Wasilla was fifth in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:10.90. She was also seventh in the 50 freestyle with a time of 28.38.
The Wasilla Warriors girls 400 freestyle relay team earned fifth with Anya Quass-Lee (1:08.41), Olivia Boatman (1:21.65), Emily Boman (1:10.52), and Sylvia Mullen (1:06.67) with a total time of 4:47.25.
