PALMER — Fueled by a 24-point lead at the end of the first quarter, Colony coasted to a 76-30 Northern Lights Conference win over the Skyview Panthers at Colony High School on Saturday.
Junior forward Alex Coon scored 10 of her game-high 17 points during the first eight minutes of regulation to help the Knights sprint to the early lead. Junior Maria Bowker scored seven of her 12 points during the first quarter.
Junior Allie Grazulis added 15 in the win for Colony.
Brittany Meyer led the Panthers with 12 points in the loss.
Colony improved to 5-1 in NLC play with the victory.

Knights cruise past Skyview
PALMER — Jaron Murphy netted a game-high 17 points and Matt Stearman scored 15 in leading the Knights past the visiting Panthers on Saturday.
Captain Cody Huggins collected 11 points for Colony, which led 43-17 at the break.
Skyview was led by nine points from Richie Shirnberg and eight from Rem West.
Colony travels to the Peninsula to face Kenai and Soldotna next week.
