The Colony Knights swept the team titles during the Region III Cross-Country Skiing Championships at the Government Peak Recreation Area near Palmer over the week.
The Colony boys posted a two-day team total of 2 hours, 24 minutes, 18 seconds to win the top hardware. The Knights finished about nine minutes ahead of runner-up Soldotna.
In the girls ranks, the Knights had a total time of 2:52:25, about 19 minutes better than second-place SoHi.
Longtime Colony High skiing mentor Mark Strabel was named the Region III Boys Coach of the Year.
Colony skiers led Valley athletes in the overall individual standings with runner-up finishes.
Weston Sensabaugh was second for Colony in the boys standings with a two-day total time of 34:57.2.
Sensabaugh was also one of three Knights in the top four, and four in the top seven. Raven Spangler and Banyan Smyth placed third and fourth, and Jake Black placed seventh.
Elliot Sensabaugh led the Colony girls, placing second with a two-day total time of 41:52. Clara Sensabaugh and Isela Austin were third and fourth for the Knights. Aubrey Virgin added a seventh-place finish.
Kyndle LaRousse earned a fifth-place finish for the Palmer girls, with a time of 43:29.
Teigan Copp led the Palmer boys with a 21st-place finish.
