Colony swept the team titles and the Knights won four of the five events during the Region III Tennis Championships in Anchorage.
Tyler Easley earned the boys singles title for the Knights. Colony’s Ryan Shelden and Noah Whitney combined to win the boys doubles. Merissa Loggins and Matthew Crawford temmed up to win the mixed doubles for the Knights. Colony’s Brianna LittleChief also won the girls singles.
Zoe Patton-Meyer and Belle Bacca led Palmer with a first-place finish in the girls doubles.
Lily Anderson and Jesse Hushower (mixed doubles), Noah Wilkins and Rhys Allen (boys doubles), and Grant Keys (boys singles) played to runner-up finishes for the Moose.
Josie Peace led Wasilla with a second-place finish in the girls singles.
All qualified for the ASAA/First National Bank State Tennis Championships, which starts Thursday at the Alaska Club East in Anchorage.
Anderson, Bacca, Patton-Meyer, Loggins and Wasilla’s Hallie Anderson were named to the girls all-region team. Hushower, Allen, Keys and Wasilla’s Hudson Mobley were named to the boys all-region team.
Palmer was second in both the girls and boys team standings. Wasilla finished tied for third in the girls team standings, and was fourth on the boys side.
