Knights sweep Seward cross-country race

PALMER — The Colony Knights swept the team titles during the Frank. D. Invitational Friday in Seward.

Lane Meier led the Colony boys with a fourth-place finish. Shea Alaniva was seventh for the Colony girls. The CHS boys finished with 60 points in the team standings, 14 better than runner-up Soldotna. The Colony girls had 44 total points, separated by nine points with the second-place Stars.

Palmer’s Lydia Ortiz led all Valley runners with a runner-up finish in the girls race. Fellow Moose Sophie Wright was fourth. Sofia Spaic and Lydia Busbey were also in the top 10 for the Colony girls, finishing ninth and 10th.

Garrett Smith logged a fifth-place finish for the Colony boys.
