Knights sweep team standings in Kenai swimming and diving meet

The Colony Knights swimming and diving teams swept the team titles during the Kenai Invitational Sept. 24 in Kenai.

Three Knights won a pair of events to help the Colony girls amass 134 total points in the team standings. Hannah Cooper won the 200-yard freestyle and 500 freestyle races for the Knights. Jasmine Anderson was first in the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke. Merica Miller won the 50 and 100 freestyle events.

The Knights also won the 200 individual medley and 400 freestyle relay races.

Kristorfer Vangorder also won a pair of events to lead the Colony boys. Vangorder was first in the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke. The Knights finished with 90 total points in the boys team standings. Hayden Woodring (100 butterfly) and Isaiah Hullen (500 freestyle) also won events for the Colony boys.

The Palmer Moose finished second in the girls team standings. Aly Hrncir led the Moose with a win in girls diving. Palmer also won the 200 freestyle girls relay.

Deshawn Campbell led Wasilla with a win in the boys diving event.
