The Colony Knights boys and girls teams swept the first local prep meet of the year, the Colony Invitational Saturday at the Palmer Pool.
Colony used a strong day in the boys relays to finish first in the boys team standings with 164 total points.
Thomas Smith, Kellan DenBleyker, Isaiah Hulien and Reven Settle combined to win the 200-yard medley relay. Smith, DenBleyker, Hulien and Grady Dhondt placed first in the 200 freestyle relay. Dhondt, Landeyn Halstead, Parker Lysdahl and Gunnar Allen were first in the 400 freestyle relay.
Jasmine Anderson helped lead the Colony girls, who finished first in the team standings with 151 total points. Anderson, who earned All-American status in the breaststroke last season, finished first in the 100 breaststroke and 200 individual medley. Benner also won two events, finishing first in the 100 butterfly and 200 freestyle. Anderson and Benner combined with Kendyl Ligman and Mackenzie Edgar to win the 400 freestyle relay.
Hulien also won a pair of events for the Colony boys, placing first in the 200 IM and 100 butterfly. DenBleyker (100 freestyle), Settle (100 backstroke) Finn Nordstrom (500 freestyle) and Hudson Duguid (100 breaststroke) also won events for the CHS boys. Hannah Cooper (500 freestyle) and Charlize McManus (diving) were first for the Knights girls.
The Palmer girls and boys both finished second in the team standings,
Addie Charton led the Moose with wins in the girls 50 and 100 freestyle. Charton, Emily Stocker, Nina Adams and Abby Strobel won the girls 200 medley relay.
Jackson Charton (50 freestyle) and London Lee (200 freestyle) also won events for the Palmer boys.
Emily Boman (100 backstroke) and Travis Thorton (boys diving) led Wasilla with wins.
