The Colony Knights swept a pair of varsity basketball games against rival Palmer Wednesday night at Colony High School.
Patrick McMahon, the reigning 4A player of the year, scored 35 points and led the Knights to a 70-50 boys win over the Moose. McMahon scored 10 points during a 24-10 second-quarter run. Jeremiah Hersrud added 10 points in the victory.
Elijah Barnes led Palmer with 10. Gavin O’Brien chipped in nine, and Trevor Kroening added eight for the Moose.
Earlier in the evening, the Colony girls beat Palmer 60-48. Indiya Clarke led Colony with 14 points. Maggie Spencer finished with 14, and Tori Schwantes added 10.
Kinzey Hutchings led Palmer with 13. Lily Anderson scored 9 and Paige Marshall finished with eight.
