The Colony Knights opened the 2025 prep swimming and diving season with a sweep of the team titles during the Wasilla Invitational Aug. 23 at the Wasilla Pool.
The Colony girls finished with 118 total points and the boys had 97.
Hannah Cooper led the Colony girls with a pair of wins, placing first in the 200-yard freestyle and 500 freestyle races. Jerzey Lane won the 100 butterfly. Claire Wallstrum and Lyza Krozel were first and second in the dive.
The Knights also won the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays.
Katie Dollick was also second in the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke. Nova Hinze was third in the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke, and Adrianna Roeder placed third in the 500 freestyle.
Beck LaBoucane won two events to lead the Colony boys. He was first in the 100 butterfly and 500 freestyle. Finn Nordstrum placed first in the 200 freestyle, while Iver Gates was first in the 50 freestyle.
The Knights also won the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.
Gates (100 butterfly), Brody Westrik (100 freestyle) and Parker Lysdahl (100 breaststroke) each finished second. Rhone Leach (50 freestyle) and Holdon Carpenter (100 freestyle) placed third.
Palmer was second in the girls standings with 92 points.
Kylie Benner scored a pair of wins for the Moose, placing first in the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke. Mariel Gustafson (50 freestyle) and Teagan Havemeister (100 backstroke) also won events.
Gustafson added a second-place finish in the 200 freestyle. Aubrey Stocker was third in the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke for the Moose. Isabel Kost was also third in the 10 freestyle. Eli Farabaugh led Palmer with a fourth-place finish in the 100 butterfly.
Weton Allred led the Wasilla boys, placing first in the 100 breaststroke and second in the 200 IM. Anya Quas-Lee was second in the 100 freestyle to lead the Wasila girls.
