Knights win Bush Brawl tourney in Kotzebue

PALMER — Last week at Colony High School, the Colony Knights had their way with Kotzebue during a battle of Alaska’s defending state champions. Not much was different when 4A defending champion Colony took the mat against 123A champ Kotzebue once again on Saturday.

Colony wrestled to a 51-13 win over Kotzebue during the championship dual of the Bush Brawl Duals in Kotzebue.

The Knights scored wins in 10 weight class en route to the victory. Rush Fannon (98 pounds), Trace Severson (106) and Kolby Torres (113) sparked the Knights with back-to-back-to-back pins to start the dual. Chace Booth (138) and Dawson Nash (195) also recorded pins during the dual.

Colony finished 5-0 in five duals during the tournament.
