Kudos for hometown volunteers

To the editor:

I wish to recognize Rachel Bobka for leading Palmer Soil and Water Conservation District’s fourth annual Invasive Weeds Smackdown. The annual community education event is targeted at educating the public about invasive weeds using information and a hands-on demonstration weed pull.

People ages 1 thru seniors participated this year. Business support was appreciated via door prizes and funding. A local band crooned the crowd. Special kudos to Justin, who admirably performed tasks as assigned.

I appreciate all of the volunteers and this event being hosted in my hometown.
