Kudos for kickoff

This year’s Wasilla’s Holiday Kickoff Celebration at the Old Wasilla Townsite was a great success.

We had more than 400 residents come celebrate with us and had 52 gingerbread houses entered in the competition. We would like to thank all the people who volunteered their time Dec. 1 and in setting up for the celebration, including Margaret and LeRoi Heaven; Eliya Barela and Micaiah Barela; Leah Doney-Neel; Sparrow Ferreira; Maria and Dennis Chavez; Tyler Hall; Wasilla High School choir; GCI employees Tami Sommerville, Sheila Hayes, Jessica Price and Dianna Vazquez; Frances Graves; Karen Davis; Joan Matthews; Wasilla-Knik Historical Society Members; Arlene Stephl; and Tiny DePriest.
