I support resident Bill Zeddies’ letter to the editor urging our neighbors to stop allowing their cats and dogs to have kittens and puppies. We need to speak out more against this issue. Fix your pets.
Too many times I see people in the parking lot of our Mat-Su businesses trying to sell their kittens or puppies to make money. Spay or neuter your animals. Ten million cats and dogs are killed every year no thanks to your contribution. Our local businesses should ban people from selling on their property.
To the people who respond and give the argument they are trying to sell the animal rather than abandon it or kill it themselves — guess what, get your animal fixed in the first place. No brainer.
Here’s an idea. Get a real job, get a second or third job if you consider that your extra income.
Get a job or volunteer at the local animal shelter and then offer to help euthanize and dispose of the animals that can’t get adopted. Maybe that will change your mind.
To the buyers of those animals being sold in the parking lots — get an animal at the shelter.
Citizens, get a clue about our animal population. Be a responsible animal owner if you are going to own pets. Feel uncomfortable about this subject? Good, maybe it will change your mind and viewpoint and pathetic justification.
