Kudos to Sen. Huggins and the entire Mat-Su delegation

To the editor:

I want to express my sincere appreciation to Mat-Su area voters for sending a legislative delegation to Juneau that stood up for Alaskans. Your Mat-Su delegation worked together with our administration to uphold Second Amendment rights, bring new oil (tax changes) so our children and grandchildren can benefit, better protect Alaskans from federal overreach, especially pertaining to permitting, and they obtained funding to help bring fish back to Mat-Su rivers. They also joined me in cutting state government spending by 15 percent, by more than $1 billion, so we can manage our existing budget reserves and maintain fiscal responsibility in Juneau.

Sen. Charlie Huggins deserves special praise for leading as Senate president with professionalism, focus, honor, dignity and perseverance. Sen. Huggins maintained the statewide perspective necessary to serving in leadership, while also zealously representing your interests in the Valley. Kudos to Sen. Huggins and the entire Mat-Su delegation.
