I would like to express my appreciation and thanks to the Point Mackenzie Community Patrol (PMCP) for their assistance in averting a potential serious accident on Point Mackenzie Road on the evening of April 25th.
The spring thaw coupled with earthquake damage resulted in a road failure causing a large crevass across the West bound lane. Gary Foster of the PMCP stayed on location for over two hours diverting traffic around the hazard and he was able to enlist the help of a passing contractor with a skid steer to fill the void until borough maintenance responded the following morning.
We are thankful for volunteers that take the time to insure our safety and well being. You make our borough a better place! Thank you!
