Ladies’ night out: Bear Mountain Grill shopping event set Friday

Spring Ladies Night Out
Spring Ladies Night Out

This Friday is a chance for Eagle River women to chase unique, locally crafted finds at the Bear Mountain Grill from 5 to 9 p.m. There will be more than 25 vendors. Door prizes will be awarded. Beer and wine will be available to purchase and light snacks provided.

Every vendor has a door prize and prizes are given all night. It’s a fun night to get out and socialize and support our small business owners. This one is geared for Mother’s Day,” said Alexia Kallen, the lead coordinator for the event.

This is one of two shopping events each year, the other taking place in the fall. Each event highlights a local nonprofit. This time the nonprofit is the Heart to Heart Pregnancy Resource Center, which will have a free booth to get their word out. Keller said she picked the center because they have a “big fundraiser” on May 12: Chocolate for Life.

Keller said she started these events to support her local “gals” in an affordable way.

“It’s a way for the women who make and sell things in the area to have an outlet,” she said.

It is free to attend and located at 12300 Old Glenn Highway.
