LARRY Robert DEN

Houston resident Larry Robert Den, 47, died Jan. 25, 2006, at his home.

A celebration of his life will be at 1 p.m. Satur-day, at Valley Funeral Home, 151 E. Herning Ave., Wasilla.

Mr. Den was born Dec. 13, 1958, in Seattle. He was a graduate of Shorecrest High School in Shoreline, Wash.

He came to Alaska in 1994, and resided in Wasilla and Houston. He was a member of the &#8220Church of the Great Outdoors,” Local 86 Ironworkers and Local 751 Ironworkers.

His family said, &#8220Larry loved the outdoors, animals and Alaska. He cherished his family and friends. He was a true friend to everyone and never met a stranger. He was a jack of all trades and master of anything he put his mind to. He was passionate about hunting and fishing and sharing that with others. Larry was raised to believe that a handshake was as good as a man's word, and lived by those values. Many thanks to the Houston Police Department and Alaska State Troopers for services rendered.”

He is survived by his mother, Kathleen Den of Edmonds, Wash.; brothers, Stuart (”Jim”) and wife, Judy, of Mountlake Terrace, Wash., and John of Waco, Texas; sisters, Laurie Johnson and husband, Curt, of Shelton, Wash., and Sue Den of Shoreline, Wash.; son, Cory; niece, nephews and extended family and many friends, and his pets, Ike, Bear, Blacky and Tommy.

He was preceded in death by his father, James W. Den, of Lake Forest Park, Wash.
