Laura Edith Brady was born October 3rd, 1931 in San Francisco. From there she moved to her Grandparents little farm in Sebastopol, California. Laura went to the local grammar school and graduated from Analy High School in 1949. She married Melburn (Pat) Brady in 1950. They had three children; Steven James, Patrick Michael and Kathleen Alyce. They raised their family in Dixon, California. They moved to Alaska in 1972. They had many good friends in Dixon as well as Alaska. Laura lost her husband in 2000. She lived in their home on the lake and she enjoyed gardening and volunteer work for various organizations. Laura moved into Houston, Alaska in 2010 to Senior housing. There she lived happily among good friends and neighbors. Laura passed January 16th at home with family. She is survived by her children; Steve & Linda, and Mick & Linda from California; Kate and Ron from Alaska. Also included are nine grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren.
Services will be held February 18th at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in Palmer. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to United Bishops Fund, World Relief Fund or a donation to St Bartholomew’s Church.
