Laura E. Tripp, 50, died Oct. 23, 2004, at her home in Big Lake, of natural causes.

Services will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 2, at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Big Lake.

Ms. Tripp was born Feb. 15, 1954, in San Francisco.

She began her Alaska residency in 1986, and lived in Homer, Anchorage and Big Lake.

Ms. Tripp had a business degree in computer sciences. She worked at Mat-Su College in computer sciences and was a homemaker.

She enjoyed arts and crafts and volunteered at Big Lake Elementary School.

Her loved ones wrote, "Our sister's light has dimmed, but will forever shine in our hearts and will provide a beacon to guide Tanner through life. Her love for her son will never go out. Her friends and family will never forget."

She is survived by her son, Tanner Tripp; mother, Gloria Beck of San Jose, Calif.; sister, Becky Morrisey of San Jose, Calif.; brothers, Dan Tripp of Los Gatos, Calif. and Randy Tripp of Byron, Calif., and an adopted sister, Kathy Snitker of Big Lake.

Arrangements were with Kehl's Palmer Mortuary.
