Former Alaskan resident Lawrence "J" Jenkins, 45, died Dec. 18, 2002, from injuries suffered in a snowmachine accident in Idaho.
Mr. Jenkins was born July 13, 1957, in Mammoth Hot Springs Montana to Bob Jewell and Valoie Burnside Jenkins.
He was living in Victor, Idaho at the time of his accident and had worked in construction in the Teton Valley, and also spent 20 years working in Alaska. He loved camping, horseback riding, breaking horses, hunting, fishing and snowmachining.
Those who knew him described him as a kind and generous person who was always helping people. He loved his nieces, nephews, friends and family.
He is survived by his mother, Valoie Nelson of Victor; brothers, Stanley Nelson of Victor, Steve Nelson of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; and a sister, Rusty Hanson of Valdez.
