In recent news regarding the lawsuit being brought against the Mat-Su School District because girls’ sports program doesn’t seem to be given the same attention as the boys’ program — wouldn’t time and money be better spent on mediation to resolve an either real or imagined issue?
It seems to me that what these parents are teaching their children is again, if you don’t get what you want, let’s sue. All a lawsuit usually ends up doing is costing us all more money, plus those involved may reconsider the importance of even having a sports program in the future because of the chance of a lawsuit.
It also seems to me that the only ones to benefit financially in all this will be the lawyers.
Common people, let’s learn to resolve our issues in ways other than lawsuits.
