WASILLA — Mike Thomas extended his season points total in the legends class with a first-place finish during GCI Saturday Night Thunder at North Star Speedway in Wasilla last week.
Thanks to his victory, Thomas earned 100 points to push his season total to 1,102. Eddie Landes (1,011) also topped the 1,000-point mark for the season with a third-place finish.
Alex Schwochert maintained his season lead in the mini stocks by edging Mike Schwochert for a first-place finish in the event.
Alex Schwochert has 1,085 total points, while Mike Schwochert has 1,074.
Keith Jones (thunder stocks), Tim Workman (bandoleros), Larry Theobald (baby grands) and Eric Wittner (late models) also won feature events.

WILLOW — Michael Kriger was crowned the king of the crunched cars, winning the demolition derby at Capitol Speedway in Willow last Saturday.
Doug Fisher (360 sprints), Jeff Wallace (300 sprints), Paul Townsend (trucks), Dave Burke (mini stock), James Colbert (hobby stock) and Guy Hamilton (stocks) also won races.

Anchorage dragster sweeps top eliminator
BUTTE — Anchorage driver Rich Kirk won the top eliminator class at Alaska Raceway Park twice last weekend.
Zac h Richards and Skip Coile represented Palmer with wins on Saturday, the middle day of three days worth of racing on the Butte quarter-mile strip.
Coile finished first in the modified ET, while Richards won the Super ET.
