Legends driver posts his first win of the season

WASILLA — Dave Behling posted his first win of the season in the legends class to highlight racing action at North Star Speedway in Wasilla on Sunday.

Behling bested runner-up Mike Thomas during a special Sunday slate of racing. Typically, North Star features its weekly GCI Saturday Night Thunder but added the extra day of racing to celebrate the holiday weekend.

Keith Jones (thunderstocks) and Carly Meacham (bandoleros) also recorded wins Sunday.

The extra day of racing also featured the North Star Speedway radio grudge match. Joe Campbell, of Legends 100.9, beat colleague Eddie Maxwell for the win.

On Saturday, Jeff Landrum had a busy night, finishing third in the baby grands and fifth in the legends class.
