Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

Just about every day this week I had someone call me, approach me or email me with comments on the Trim to Win program. Each conversation was a clear reminder of how important and very public this challenge is.

Just today, I had someone stop by the office on a business matter and we spent the first ten minutes of the visit talking about the Trim to Win program. My visitor confessed to me that he had become addicted to the blogs. He is compelled to check the site everyday to see how everyone is doing. He mentioned frequent bloggers and posters by screen name, so I know his comment is genuine. This is also a person who claims to need to lose another five pounds, but doesn’t look like the need is there.

I’ve had people call me on other business matters this week where the conversation wrapped up with them asking me how the diet was going. I must admit that the first time I was asked this question, it startled me for a moment. It took me a few seconds for it to register how on earth this person knew I was on a diet.

Sharing my weight loss and fitness journey with thousands of people virtually every day is not something I ever imagined I would, or could, do. I have found, though, that doing this has somehow made it easier to stick with my eating and exercise plan. I don’t know if it’s the accountability factor, or if it’s just that I’m sharing my experience with all of you and that helps keep me on track.

I enjoy hearing from people in the community that are following this challenge. Whether they are participating or simply spectators, everyone I’ve talked with about the program is cheering us on.

I’ve had a few emails from some participants who are struggling with their weight loss program, and I’ve encouraged them to participate in the community blog. In reading the comments, I’ve found everyone to be very supportive of those who have posted and believe everyone can benefit from that.

On another note, I made it the gym again today and my knee seems to be on the mend. It’s still sore, but at least it doesn’t feel like someone is sticking an ice pick in it every time I stand up.

Tomorrow’s workout will consist of shoveling snow. Lots and lots of snow!

Keep up the good work and have a super weekend!
