LETTER: Appreciating a family’s contribution

To the editor:

I do not personally know the Strabel family, but want to commend them for the many contributions to our community that I have observed over the years. They have been instrumental in the establishing of events to challenge and inspire young athletes. They have contributed a huge amount of time, energy, and effort to establishing trails systems and public use facilities, in particular the Government Peak Recreation area, and grooming of Archangel ski trails. The work they have done has not gone unnoticed and has been of benefit to many of our youth and families as well as some of us older retired folks.
