LETTER: Colver not a real Republican

Letter to the editor:

Jim Colver is just posing as a Republican. All the real evidence shows he remains a Democrat. He even said so to the past Republican finance chair, Mr. Fred Agree. Here is what Colver said, and I paraphrase, “I am a Democrat, but in order to win I have to run as a Republican”. My, My.

Colver showed his true color when he joined with the other muskrats and formed a group with LeDoux, Stutes and Seaton in the State House with the Democrats thereby stabbing our Republican legislators in the back. “So long fiscal responsibility and PFD”.

Voters got wise to Colver in 2016 and elected Republican George Rauscher to the House. Colver’s heavy duty supporter, Bruce Cain, is still pushing for the poser Colver and that is probably the reason Cain is no longer Vice Chair of his district. You can’t fool all the people all the time.

But he’s back…Colver is trying for the fourth time to get himself elected. Still dishonestly posing as a “Republican”. His road signs claim he is a Republican. He is not!!! He is a just another politician who will say anything to get elected. I have known him for decades.

Following the lead of the Valdez, Delta, Glennallen, Sutton, and Palmer Republicans, the statewide Alaska Republican Party endorsed George Rauscher to continue as the State Representative for District 9. He has proven to be a rock-solid conservative we can depend on.

Please vote for George on August 21 and again on November 5th, 2018.
