LETTER: Many thanks to those who serve

To the editor:

For the last approximately 10 years, when I see someone in uniform, I thank them for their service and for keeping us safe. So once again, all military personnel — thank you.

Recently we had a big wildfire going and in this wind and freezing conditions. I am so happy to be safe in my home and so it’s time to thank the firefighters and then, along with that, the wind contributed to a huge power outage. So, to the people who climb the poles in the freezing winds and to you firefighters, thank you, too, so much for all you do for all of us and please know we appreciate you more than you will ever know.

I would like to mention once more to please slow down in parking lots. Watch out for us old folks, because, if you live long enough, you, too, will be old.
