LETTER: Once again addressing symptoms, not solutions

In the midst of the latest school shooting in Florida, have Americans taken time to think about families in countries such as Iraq, Syria, Libya, Somalia, Yemen, Afghanistan, who suffer not only from automatic weapons, but missile strikes daily, perpetrated by the United States Military? There is a bigger issue than domestic gun control, International War.

Do lives in other countries not count? Does putting a false label of terrorist make killing innocent men, women and children ok? It does not.

How long must this insanity continue? The United States Military has killed MILLIONS of innocent people in our conquests of intolerance and hate, wealth and greed. Yet, here we are, again and again, addressing symptoms not solutions.

All United States tax payers should be ashamed of their collusion! While the National coffers drain as pollution into the swamp, social services dwindle, healthcare becomes an impossible farce, education slips behind, infrastructure crumbles and is privatized, citizens are taxed into oblivion for nothing in return and the corporate weapons manufacturers and international bankers sit back in glee while we lament. We need to pull it together fast and by fast, immediately. We must confront the war machine.
