The City of Wasilla and its Parks and Recreation Commission would like to express their appreciation and sincere thanks to all who helped with Wasilla Clean up Days from April 30th - May 5th.
A special thanks to all the organizations and businesses that provided donations and prizes. These prizes were given to the participating adults, youth and teens at the volunteer appreciation picnic on Saturday May 5th at Iditapark.
Our sincerest gratitude goes out to this year's Clean up Days sponsors: Alaska Railroad, Alaska Bicycle Center, Just Imagine Toys, Wal-Mart, ALPAR, Back and Neck Center, and the many volunteers who participated.
The Commissioners would also like to express their gratitude to the Mat-Su Borough for providing a large dumpster for the deposited clean up bags.
Clean up Days is a continual community effort to keep our public areas around the City clean and beautiful. Thank you for your participation, and keeping our community one we can be proud of.
A resounding thank you from,
Wasilla Parks and Recreation Commissioners:
