On behalf of the Willow Public Library, I would like to thank the Willow Garden Club for the support and generosity they have shown our library’s Summer Reading Program this year. The Willow Garden Club donated not only compost, soil, containers, and plants to our Summer Reading Program, but also the personal time of its own members. Garden Club members Jen Schrage, Marsha VanAble, and Christy Miller led a container gardening project with the library’s teen group this summer. Each teen was able to create a mini garden containing mixtures of herbs, flowers, and vegetables to take home with them at the end of the day. It was a very fun, successful activity that would not have been possible without the Willow Garden Club! They are an asset to our community, and we are thankful for their willingness to share their time, resources, and knowledge with us.
