On behalf of the Palmer Baha'i Local Spiritual Assembly, we want to thank all the individuals who helped organize and plan the celebration of the 200th Anniversary of the Birth of Baha'u'llah at the Palmer Train Depot on Sunday, October the 22nd. It was wonderful working with the Baha'is from throughout the Mat-Su Borough for our part in this global celebration. We particularly are grateful for all the visitors who came to learn about our Faith and share in our observance. And the children were absolutely delightful! For us it was a moving spiritual experience to know that we were spiritually linked up with Baha'is all over the planet, and we made a point to let our visitors know that this was a once-in-a-lifetime observance -- the Bicentenary of the Birth of Baha'u'llah, the Prophet-Founder of the Baha'i Faith. He was born in 1817 and lived until 1892; He is buried near Mount Carmel in Israel. If there are any residents who wanted to participate but were not able to, they may look up information about the Baha'i Faith at http://www.akbahai.org./We are very grateful to The Frontiersman for helping to get the word out about this special event.
