Alaska Animal Advocates (AAA) is thrilled with the community response to our first Pints for Pups fundraiser on July 20, 2017. As everyone can imagine, rescuing dogs is a costly venture and we appreciate the support offered by individuals and businesses in Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley.
We had a fun evening at Van’s Dive Bar in Anchorage, along with good food, music provided by the Carhartt Brothers, a fabulous silent auction, and door prizes. AAA wishes to thank the following folks for their generosity: A Better Cut; Alaska Pet and Yard Services; Alaska Photography and Design; Becky Anderson; Bleeding Heart Brewery; Captured By Courtney; Carrs; The Carhartt Brothers; Farinas; Fred Meyer; The Gallery; Garden Gate; Jenny and Brad Hall; K & L Distributors; Jon and Valerie Koivunen; Mosquito Mama; Mudbusters; Northern Gypsy Girl Fashions; North Star Vet Clinic; Petco; Pillows for Kids Foundation; Shane Lamb Gallery; Star Dust Designz; Sweet Chalet Chocolates; Van’s Dive Bar; Walmart; and Whalebone Watercolors. Also, a shout out to the people who made this event possible – Rachel, Jamie, Kirsten, Rachael, and Jenny. Lots of hard work, for a worthy cause.
It is Alaska Animal Advocates’ hope to improve as many animals’ lives as we possibly can, but we cannot do it alone. We need YOUR help! Volunteer, foster, adopt animals from Animal Control or rescue groups, rather than purchasing them from a breeder, and spay and neuter your pets. Report animal abuse. Speak up for those that have no voice. Thank you all.
