Thank you doesn’t seem like enough

!

I just want to say I love the people in our community. On April 26, I was involved in a serious car accident in Palmer. My car was totaled with smoke coming from under the hood by the time it came to a stop. When I looked up, I was surrounded by folks asking if I was okay and helping me and my dog out of the car. Then the emergency folks showed up and they were just as caring and helpful. I have no idea the name of the young lady that was waiting at the corner for the light to turn so she could walk across the street, but I sure appreciate her pulling out her phone and calling 911. I also don’t know the name of the gal that ran and got me a bottle of water or the two young men that got my scared puppy out of the back seat. The ambulance crew, firemen and police were amazing. Saying thank you seems so small for the compassion and care that was given me by these people as well as the medical staff at Mat-Su Regional Hospital. All that happened that afternoon, evening and few days reinforced why I love to call Alaska and the Mat-Su Valley home.
