Letter to the Editor,

The City of Wasilla would like to express its appreciation and sincere thanks to all who helped and participated in the City of Wasilla’s 4th of July festivities, and Wasilla Summerfest events.

These events for the community are enjoyed by thousands of area residents, and generally are free to the public thanks to our generous local organizations, and businesses.

Our sincerest gratitude goes out to this year’s sponsors: Fred Meyer, Carr’s/Safeway, Three Bears, Gorilla Fireworks, Mat-Su Health Foundation, Enstar, Sunrise Rotary, Pepsi Cola, Vend Alaska, Cross Country Church, Heat Source Mechanical, Mat Su Munchies; parade judges from the Mat-Su Sertoma Club; and the many volunteers who helped with the parade and Mayor’s Picnic.
