Vote no on the Palmer RecallTo the editor:
Palmer can’t afford to lose the three council members, Jill Valerius, Sabrena Combs, and Brian Daniels. These council members each bring their well-versed and well-educated voices and perspective to the City Council of Palmer. Sabrena Combs has worked tirelessly for the City of Palmer — you see her everywhere working in support of all activities in Palmer. Before the previous mayor was elected to the position of Borough mayor — Sabrena was the deputy mayor. Jill Valerius brings a healthy perspective to all issues before the City. She is always well prepared on topics brought to the Council for action, and has worked diligently to improve the quality of life for the citizens of Palmer. Brian Daniels is an active business owner in the City, as are Jill and Sabrena, and also brings a positive and healthy approach to city business.
If these valuable, honest, hardworking council members are recalled, the City would find itself with three brand new members, and two other members that have served as council members for less than a year. The position of council member requires much work, and homework to be properly prepared to vote on the variety of subject items brought before it. This work is greatly enhanced with experience — how the process works, what has been done before, etc.
Please allow these members to serve out their terms and vote no in the Palmer Recall April 19th. Early voting is available — see palmerak.org
