We are longtime Mat Su residents and own a home on the Palmer side of the Core, the abyss of land and homes that lie between the cities of Wasilla and Palmer. What happens in these two cities significantly affect our quality of life; that is why we support Julie Berberich for Palmer City Council.
Julie is a lifelong Alaskan and business owner of the active and community-oriented business Backcountry Bike and Ski. Julie is committed to working toward maintaining what is already right about Palmer and moving forward to encourage small businesses, families, and visitors to make Palmer their destination place.
The growth of the Mat Su Valley is not speculation anymore. It is a reality. Julie Berberich is ready to listen and respond so that Palmer can keep both charm and community as it readies for the future. What we like best about Julie is she always open to possibility. Her optimism works with pragmatism, and her care and love of Palmer are infectious.
Our local elections are where we as citizens have the most influence. And, the best part about local elections is that they are non-partisan. That’s right- politics aside-just good neighbors wanting to serve. For us, Julie Berberich is the good neighbor we support to serve on the Palmer City Council.
