To the editor,
I would like to say thank you to Heather Resz for a job well done as Managing Editor of the Frontiersman! Her journalism has been an important glue that makes the Valley such a great place to live. She is very much a female version of Jimmy Stewart from the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Her byline and unique perspective will be greatly missed. My wife and I wish her the best of luck in whatever new endeavor she chooses.

To the editor,
The Wasilla Soil and Water Conservation District wishes to recognize the Frontiersman’s newly departed managing editor, Heather Resz, for her years of faithful support to our conservation mission. Her expression of appreciation to our various endeavors such as best management practices/education activities, ATV trail/salmon stream crossing training sessions, Arbor Day, Earth Day and project dedication ceremonies, annual tree sales, Winter Conservation Series, salmon restoration projects, and public outreach proved to be refreshing. It was always encouraging to see her appear out of nowhere with her camera and facial expressions looking for the “best” shot.
Heather demonstrated genuine community-mindedness in her dedication to Valley residents. When we were “homeless” last year, she came to our rescue. In turn, we believe that we provided an enjoyable, varied respite to her mandatory reporting of less savory stories.
Kudos and Godspeed … now, onto your next adventure!
Thank you.
