Nationally recognized Outdoorsman and Business Developer, Randy McPherson, will again be speaking at the annual Sportsman’s Dinner to be held Saturday, March 14th at Summit Worship Center in Wasilla.
McPherson is from the Minneapolis area where he resides with his wife Susan.
He is an avid outdoorsman and successful entrepreneur who loves to bow hunt. One of Randy’s great stories is about the day he lost 12 million dollars.
He used this experience and his love of the outdoors to drive his success.
Randy’s brother Matt McPherson owns Matthews Bows, the worlds largest Archery Manufacturer.
Randy often talks fondly of growing up with his brother, making bows beginning in High School.
Randy plans to tell stories about his experience bow hunting—“some will be entertaining, but mostly I want to encourage others,” says McPherson. He also often shares how, like him, “ordinary people can do extraordinary things if they are motivated.”
As a frequent guest of Matthews TV on the Outdoors Channel, Randy shares his experiences bow hunting.
He has shared many stories about hunting in over 20 different states and four provinces in Canada; but the place closest to the heart is his 400 acre ranch in Wisconsin. All of the experiences he has gained over the years has taught him many of life’s most valuable lessons.
Lessons like patience, perseverance, which leads to faith and hope.
He plans to share these stories and more at the event.
Randy believes that being in the outdoors is a shared experience. “There is time when I am alone, but then we all go back to the campfire and play music and talk. It teaches what really matters — that we share our life with people that mean the most to us.” “When I’m out there it dawns on me what an amazing world we live in — I have had some great talks with God, and for me the outdoors impels me that I need to get to know him and he gets to know me. It’s awe inspiring, and sometimes we forget the wonder of the world we live in.”
Doors to the Sportsman’s Dinner open at 5pm; There will be a drawing for a $1000 Matthews Cross Bow; multiple raffles for Pistols and Rifles; and random drawings for hunting and fishing equipment.
Tickets for the dinner are $20 for adults, and $10 for children under 12. All proceeds will go to support the substance abuse centers of Life Changers, and Teen Challenge in the Valley.
